GCX Global Network

We operate a next generation network which going from New York and spanning all the way around the world to California linking up key Asian markets (such as India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan) and Middle East markets (such as Kuwait and Egypt). Our focus is to connect these emerging markets to established markets in Europe and North America, offering ultra-high bandwidth services up to 100Gbps (including OTU4, 100GbE, OTU3/3ex, 40GbE) facilitating the mass movement of Internet traffic, OTT content, and enterprise data and Cloud computing services.

The principal elements of the GCX Global Network include:

  • Owned and leased terrestrial network in 14 countries, including throughout the length and breadth of India, covering major business centers. These terrestrial networks are integrated with our subsea cable systems
  • A scalable global IP and multi-protocol label switching (“MPLS”) network provided over diverse owned and leased international subsea and terrestrial cable routes with almost 1,000 direct inter-connections to more than 350 third party networks;
  • A managed network services platform that connects more than 25,000 sites in 160+ countries through a combination of leased and owned infrastructure offered through a dedicated secure IP network;
  • Two GNOCs in Denver and Mumbai that act as the global network operational centers of the GCX Global Network, the functions of which include 24-hour monitoring, network operations, restoration coordination and technical support.

This network is built to facilitate the Internet revolution with bandwidth services available to enterprises, OTT and content providers and telecoms carriers all the way up to 100Gbps throughout its length and breadth

Each subsea cable system is protected with off-net capacity leased from 3rd parties and used for resilience in the event of a catastrophic outage such as a cable cut, and to provide fully-protected services to customers under certain product offerings. Off-net capacity is leased on systems such as SEA-ME-WE 4, SEA-ME-WE 3, TEN, APCN2, C2C, TGN-IA, Unity, TGN-Pacific amongst others.
